When is a passive preferred?

• When the action is very relevant - "my bike has been stolen"

• In factual or scientific writing - "COVID is being investigated"

• In formal or academic texts or letters - "It has been brought to our attention that..."

• 
  

Mind the verbal change

• Include "to be + past participle"

• "To be comes in the same tense as the active verb"
