TEXTING TIPS

  • Don’t assume you know how a person feels.

  • Assume good intentions.

  • Seek out more information.

  • Switch to phone call, face time, or private thread.

  • Wait for face-to-face meeting.

  • Use emojis to convey tone.

  • Choose words carefully.

  • Proofread for autocorrects.

  • Don't text when you're upset, in a hurry, driving, or not sure how it will be perceived.

  • Don't post anything you wouldn't want your parents, teachers, friends to see.

  • If you feel overwhelmed, step away (mute, DND, leave).
