Seasonal Changes of Spring

Like all seasonal changes, spring does not appear overnight but in slow changes. Let's look at some of them and how they affect the weather, plants, animals and us.

In the spring the weather can change day to day. Some days are cool and cloudy others can be warm and sunny. As the season continues days get warmer. Rain and wind are common. As we head toward summer each day the sun is up longer.

The first change you may notice is in plants. Decidious trees will begin to grow new leaves. Flowers like daffodils and crocuses bloom. Dandelions are starting show up, but please don't pick them - the honey bees are hungry!
