Email

• Gives a basic idea of what's in the email

• Usually seen first in the inbox

Parts of the email: Subject

• Allows you to send a file via email

• Can be any file

• And I mean any file, including dangerous ones.

Attachment

• Image that's embedded into the text of your email

• Also attached, but linked specifically to the body of the email

​Inline Image

• Provides a signature at the end of the email

• May also provide extra information

• Usually pre-made in the email system

​Signature Block

Sends an email on to other people who should see it.

​

​Forward

• Means "Courtesy Copy"

• Loops someone else in on an email, but means you don't expect them to reply

• Everyone can see the person brought in

​

​CC

• Blind Courtesy Copy

• Works the same as CC, but the receiver is invisible to everyone else.

BCC

• Use it instead of giving someone a heads up

• Use it to embarrass someone

• If someone needs to respond

Don't

• When someone needs to be on an email chain

• When admin or a teacher asks to be CCd

• When you're emailing on someone else's behalf
