What is the little prince?

The Little Prince is a book about a little prince who travels to a variety of different planets via birds and a net to catch them. At every planet he travels to, he learns a new lesson about adults and adult psychology. It was written by Antoine de Saint-Exupery who wrote one of the characters as his best friend who was left during a war in a dangerous place. Exupery wanted to capture some of the emotions of what he and his friend went through and also wanted to show people more about the human psychi.

The little prince lived on a very small planet with three volcanoes, two active and one inactive, a fire for cooking his meals, and a chair to view the sunset. One day, a rose started growing on the little prince's planet and the little prince nurtured it until it grew into a beautifully stunning flower. This flower enchanted the little prince and he fell in love with her. The little prince got into a fight with the rose and decided to leave his planet to explore the galaxy. He comes across various adult figures on his journey that each represent different human traits.

The Little Prince meets a pilot whose plane has been wrecked in the desert. The two become very attached, and when the little prince knows he has to go home, he prepares the pilot for his departure. He leads the pilot to a village well in the middle of the desert and makes sure the pilots fixes his engine to ensure him a safe return home. The little prince doesn't want the pilot to be hurt so he assures the pilot not to follow him when he goes to meet the snake. What are your general opinions on this?
