Natural selection

regarding the activity with the starfish, you should have noticed that you were picking starfish that were more noticeable. (if not then.....)

but this is an example of natural selection. The starfish that survived were able to pass on their traits.

Natural selection happens with every living thing, it is simply : seeing how successful an organism will be in passing on their traits. and this is done naturally by nature
