SHALL WE LEARN RELATIVE CLAUSES?

We use them to give additional information about a noun. They start with a relative pronoun: who, that, which, whose, where and whom.

The girl who lives next door, has got a puppy.

My geography teacher is a woman whom I like a lot.

WHOSE

A There is a boy in my class whose father is a surgeon.

B There is a boy whose class is a surgeion.

C In my class there a surgeon whose father is a boy.

Whose is also for people.

​It can substitute possessive pronouns or nouns.

Which is only for things:
The car which is parked there is my friend´s.

That is for people and things:
-The letter that Carl sent me was very silly.
- The girl that I saw yesterday is not nice.

That is the house where I used to live with my parents.
