• Today's goal: Introduce a S&R review, explain it, practice it and create one for yourself.

• It gets students up and moving

• No opportunity to put heads down, there is no where to hide

• The nature of the review helps to keep more students engaged

​Why the Search and Rescue Review?

• Term at the top, clue/stimulus at the bottom.

  • The 2 do not match.

• Clue at the bottom takes students to a different term

• Goal is to get to original term

  • Can put in your classroom or hallway

​What is the Search and Rescue?

• Students can start where ever they want

  • The clue can be a statement, primary source, picture, cartoon, etc.

• Unit Reviews (15-25 terms/cards)

• Mega STAAR Review (135)

​What is the Search and Rescue?

• Students do not need to erase a mistake

  • When they find their mistake they make the correction in the next column

  • Answers from previous attempts can be used later

• I keep a key so students can check whenever
