Classifying Living Organisms
1. Producers- can produce their own food and energy from the sun and water.
Consumers- gets its food and energy by consuming (eating) other living organisms from a different population.
Decomposers- get their food and energy by consuming dead organisms.
3
Herbivore- a consumer that feeds on plants.
Carnivore- a consumer that feeds on meat.
Omnivore- a consumer that eats plants and animals.
Classifying Consumers
4
Food Chain- shows the flow of energy that gets transfered from one oragnism to another.
All Food Chains start with the SUN.
Sun-->Producer-->Consumers-->Decomposer

Every food chain has a predatory prey relationship.
This is where one species is hunted as a food/energy source of another speices.
