​Once upon a time, in the beautiful hills of Adjuntas, Puerto Rico, there was a farm unlike any other. It was a place where two delicious things grew side to side: coffee beans and cocoa pods.

The farm is the property of a kind old man named Don Miguel. He had a big, warm smile and loved to tell stories of the strong coffee beans, dark and shiny like tiny black jewels, and the sweet cocoa pods, green and bumpy like tiny balls.

Every morning...

Don Miguel would wake up early and walk in his farm. He would say "hello!" to the coffee trees. The trunks of the trees were brown and strong. Don Miguel's granddaughter, Sofia, loved to help him in the farm. She sings every time she picked the brown coffee beans and the sweet cocoa pods.

​One day...

... a group of children from a school visited the farm. Don Miguel and Sofia showed the children how dried coffee beans are used to make their favorite morning drink: coffee!!!

Finally...

... at the end of the visit Don Miguel and Sofia gave each child a small bag of coffee beans and some cocoa pods. "Take the coffee beans and cocoa pod and remember the story of how we Boricuas use them to make delicious coffee and sweet chocolate bars."
