To assist educators in improving emotional literacy (positively improving classroom management), it is important for them to integrate SEL into traditional theories of teaching.

Andragogy is the facilitation learning for adults, who are self-directed learners.

Social and Emotional Learning:
In addition to applying theories of pedagogy and andragogy, it is important to also consider integrating SEL into your curriculum.
Social and emotional learning; social-emotional learning (SEL) is: The process through which children and adults acquire and effectively apply the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary to understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions.
