All regular verbs add “ed” in Simple Past Tense. He played football last Sunday
When a regular verb ends in a consonant + “y”,the “y” is changed to “ied” He dried the dishes after dinner.
When a regular verb has one syllable and ends in consonant + vowel + consonant, the final consonant is doubled before adding “ed” to form the simple past tense. (Exceptions: verbs that end in “w” or “x”)
11
Reglas
A todos los verbos regulares se le añade "ed" en el tiempo pasado simple. Jugó al fútbol el domingo pasado
Cuando un verbo regular termina en una consonante + “y”, la “y” es cambiada por “ied”.
Cuando un verbo regular tiene una sílaba y termina en consonante + vocal + consonante, la consonante final se duplica antes de agregar "ed" para formar el tiempo pasado simple. (Excepciones: verbos que terminan en "w" o "x")
