Cardinal and Ordinal numbers

Cardinal numbers say how many people or things there are.

Examples:

• There are five books on the desk.

• Ron is ten years old.

Ordinal numbers are numbers that tell you the position of someone or something in a group or list. Ordinal numbers tell order. 
Examples:

• fourth (4th)

• fifth (5th)
