​What is technology?

• This is the application of scientific knowledge to the practical aims of human life or, as it is sometimes phrased, to the change and manipulation of the human environment (Britannica, 2024).

• It is advancement in tools, systems, and methods that are designed to improve efficiency, productivity, and convince in various aspects of out lives.
  

AI can generate high-quality, creative content, including text, imagines, videos, and music. This technology uses algorithms like GPT (Generative Pre-Trained Transformer) and DALL-E to understand and produce content that resonates with human preference (Duggal, 2024).

Artificial Intelligence (AI)

​Enhanced VR technologies are offering more immersive and realistic experiences. With improvements in display resolutions motion tracking and interactive elements. VR is becoming increasingly prevalent in gaming, training and therapeutic contexts (Duggal, 2024).

• the ability to develop new, innovative approaches

• more effective marketing and promotion

• new sales avenues

​Disadvantages of emerging technologies

• Increased dependency on technology

• often large cost involved with using the latest technology (especially for small businesses)

• increased risk of job cuts

• closure of high street stores in favor of online business

• security risk in relation to data and fraud

• required regular updates

• can go down or have faults, which can stop all business operations instantly
