PARTICIPATION - Students are expected to actively participate in their own

Uniform Agreement
Parents,
La Academia de Estrellas will be issuing physical education uniforms for all students that are enrolled in a P.E. class. Please acknowledge the uniform agreement by completing this form by Aug 18, 2025.
Please follow these guidelines for Uniforms:
1. Wash in cold water and hang to dry
2. If you lose or damage any part of the uniform, here are the replacement costs:
Uniform top: $20.00
Uniform shorts: $20.00
3. Students are NOT PERMITTED to wear the P.E. uniform outside of gym class.
Two weeks before school ends, students will have to return the uniform. may be prohibited from participating in any end of the year activities if uniform is not returned or balance is not paid. To avoid any issues, your timely return of the clean uniform is appreciated. Anyone not returning a uniform will be invoiced for the replacement cost of the uniform.

(Inclement Weather)
Procedures
●An announcement will be made indicating that we need to take shelter.
●Everyone should grab their safety backpacks, turn off the lights, and close
the door when exiting the room.
●Updated class rosters will be stored in safety backpacks.
●All classes will exit their rooms and follow the outlined plan below.
●Account for self in RAPTOR under Profile.
●Account for students in RAPTOR under Profile.
●Remain quiet and in place. Wait for further directions.

Secure Procedure
(Lockout)
▪Announcement is made- We need to secure the building. (repeated 3 times).
▪In a lockout, the threat is on the outside of the building.
▪Classes outside, will immediately report back inside the building to classrooms.
▪All outside doors must be closed and locked.
▪Outside classes will move to inside classrooms away from the windows. See table below for assigned
rooms.
▪Keep students away from outside windows.
▪Lock classroom doors, cover windows, and remain in the classroom.
▪The bar on the gym door must be locked. Gym teachers must ensure that the outer gym doors are
always in the locked position.
▪Staff must ensure cafeteria doors are closed and locked and windows covered. Students will remain in
the cafeteria until directed otherwise.
▪Account for yourself in RAPTOR under Profile.
▪Account for your students in RAPTOR under Profile.
▪If you are missing a student (i.e. they went to the RR or office) or have an extra student that doesn’t
belong to you, immediately text your Assistant Principal with the student name and where the student
was going or belongs.
▪Remain in lockout until directed otherwise.
▪Teachers and students will remain in the classrooms until a ORANGE CARD is slid under the doorway. If
you hear phrases over the loudspeaker stating “ALL CLEAR”, assume that the administrator has been
captured and is being forced to cancel the lockout. Do not come out of lockout until you see a ORANGE CARD under your door.
▪The ORANGE CARD will have ALL CLEAR on them with the LAE logo on the opposite side.
▪If we are in a real situation, where the threat is outside but on property, then students will not be
released until the threat has disappeared.
▪Do not release students to parents until directed to do so.
▪If there are any injuries or fatalities, do not notify the parents. Law enforcement will do so.

Lockdown Procedure
▪Announcement is made- We need to institute a lockdown (repeated 3 times).
▪In a lockdown procedure, the threat is on the inside of the building.
▪Gym will lock down in the locker rooms. The bar on the gym door must be locked. cOACH C Will make sure this is done.
Gym teachers must ensure that the outer gym doors are always in
the locked position.
▪Cafeteria will lock down under the tables. Staff must ensure the doors are closed and locked and windows covered.
▪If possible, admin will check restrooms, but students should be taught to hide in the restroom if there is a lockdown.
Teach them to hide in the stalls with feet up on the toilet.
▪If you are outside, notify your administrator and proceed to the Evacuation site.
In the event of a drill, you will be directed to escort your students to
the farthest point from the building within the property. If we are outside, we will go to the far corner of the soccer field.
▪Account for yourself in RAPTOR under Profile.
▪Account for your students in RAPTOR.
▪Teachers and students will remain in the classrooms until a ORANGE CARD is slid under the doorway.

Lockdown Procedure
Reminders
▪Lock your door.
▪Cover your door windows with black paper.
▪Students should preferably be spread out across the room with an object in hand ready to throw, while staying away from the door
and windows.
▪First floor rooms should have students hide behind furniture or cabinets- away from the view of the windows.
▪Keep the room silent.
▪Remain in lockdown until directed otherwise.
▪Do not use phones unless there is a life or death emergency.
▪Make sure cell phones are off or silent, this includes student and staff phones. If cell phones are used, it increases the risks the
intruder may hear the call and/or parents who come up to the school may be put in danger.
▪Do not call or text an administrator to ask if the threat is real.
▪Explain to your students the seriousness of lockdowns.

You have 8 mins. to dress out. 10 mins to dress back in.
After dressing out, walk around the court until everyone is out.
You will have assigned stretching lines. There will be a new warm up leader every 9 weeks.
Do not open lockers in the locker room.
Participate in all activities. Try something new.
Check Agenda at the beginning of the week to know what's coming up.
Wednesdays are workout days - Keep workout coset organized. Pictures are there as a guide for where things go.
