The Basics

My name is Mrs. Tracy
DeGaetano. I will be teaching
8th grade WV Studies, U.S.
History, and Civics. I have been
teaching for almost 20 years! I
am excited to start my thirdyear
at Virtual Prep Academy of West
Virginia.

My Schooling

I grew up in Loudoun County, Virginia until I
graduated from high school. When I graduated
HS I moved across the country to go to
university in Utah. After receiving my
undergraduate degree I returned to Virginia
where I got married and worked for a few
years. Last year I went back to school and
earned my masters degree in curriculum and
instruction from Western Governor’s School!
