Rhythm

Compound Meter

• is group into threes (3/8), sixes, (6/8), and nines (9/8)

time signature

• a fraction-like number written at the beginning of a staff

• the upper number tells the number of beats in each measure

• the lower number tells the kind of note that receives one beat
