Definition
Explanation is a text which tell processes relating to
forming of natural, social, scientific, and cultural
phenomena.
Explanation text is to say “why” and “how” of the
forming of the phenomena. It is often found in
science, geography, and history text books.
Social function of explanation text is to explain the
processes involved in the formation or workings of
natural or socio-cultural phenomena.

explain the phenomena.

The passive voice is used when we want to emphasize the
action (the verb) and the object of a sentence rather than
subject.

How Wadi is Made?
Wadi is a fermented food made from fish, Wadi is the result of fermentation of
fish using seasonings made from white glutinous rice or can also corn seeds
roasted until browned then mashed manually or blended.
In the Dayak Maanyan language, this spice is called Sa'mu, while in the
Dayak Ngaju language it is called Kenta. The method of making wadi is that
the fish that will be processed are cleaned first, then soaked for 5-10 hours in
saltwater. After that, the fish is dried. After it's dry enough, the fish is mixed
with Sa'mu until it evenly distributed, Thenthe fish are stored in airtight sealed
glass, a jar, or a plastic box for about 3 to 5 days.

After the process is complete, wadi cannot be eaten immediately and need to
be cooked first, although it seems easy to make wadi you need to be careful
because if there is a slight error in adding spices or in soaking process then it will
made the wadi unpleasant and even inedible.
Therefore, not everyone have a knack to make a good wadi there is only
certain people who have the skills to make good wadi.
