What is Independece day?

Helo everyone!
I would like to tell you some information about Indonesia Independence Day.

Indonesia Independence Day is celebrated on August, it usually has lots of activity. Such as Indonesia rising flag, traditional games, cultural festival and some of traditional dance.

Here we go!

First, August 17^th this year we celebrated Independence Day in Borneo Island; it is called IKN as our new city center. Raising flag and some activities.

Second, we have a lot of games. Every city and village have their own game. But I want to tell you several famous games.

So, tug of war is the famous one. It works as team, there are 2 teams that are against to compete the tug. If you have a heavy member, it’s a bonus, but it doesn’t mean that you will always win the game.

Next, sack race needs a lot of energy because you will jump from the start line to the finish line. You will wear a sack to cover your feet and legs, while your head will be covered by helmet. The rule of the game is the fastest person get the finish line is the winner.

Then, the game that looks easy but it is actually hard to do, it’s called marble of spoon. This game is tricky, when you are not focus and not stable, the marble will be fallen. I suggest to you, if you are kind of person who can’t hold laughing or focus for long time, don’t play this game.

Moreover, if you want to work in a lot of teams, you must try to join panjat pinang. You have to make strategies how to climb the tree and get the gift, there’s lots of gifts in the top. However, you have to be ready for something dirty and sticky in your skin. You are not allowed to wear t-shirt; one important information is only a guy who can play this game.

The easiest game is kerupuk race, why is it super easy? Cause you just need to eat kerupuk. Don’t think that it is too easy for you, you will eat that kerupuk which is hanging in the top and your hands are not allowed to touch even hold the kerupuk. Can you imagine how easy it?

Last game but not the least is tandem race. What game is it? This game is needed a team work to win the line. Sometimes it consists of four members, so we will stand on the top of logs (for right and left feet) then you walk with it to get the finish line.

Furthermore, cultural festival is actually you present the clothes or traditional food from each tribe in Indonesia. Do you know how many tribes in Indonesia? We have a lot of them.

While parade and dance are the same with cultural festival. People wear tradition clothes; present traditional dance is not in a building or room. But they will present along the street.

Have you ever joined one of them?

If it’s not, I suggest to you to join it next year.
