Did you purchase a yearbook in your previous school? Yearbooks are used to preserve special memories that happen during a particular school year.
If you purchase one each year, it gives you a way to look back and remember teachers, friends, and fun times long after they are over.
In a way, yearbooks create a timeline of your life.
3
A time line is a visual that shows when events took place. We use them to figure out the date, or when, an event happened. Time lines are always written in chronological order - the order in which they happened.

Historians divide time into centuries and decades to make it easy to study.
A decade, century, and millennium are units of time that represent specific periods of years:
Decade: A period of ten years. For example, 1980 to 1989 is a decade.
Century: A period of one hundred years. The word century comes from the Latin word centum, which means one hundred.
Millennium: A period of one thousand years. The word millennium comes from the Latin word mille, which means a thousand.
