Line Constructions

Same shape with equal sides and equal angles.

​Congruent

A line that divides the line into two different or equal parts.

​Bisector

Concepts:

Procedures: Congruent Segments

1) To create congruent segments, create a circle with a radius equal to the given segment.
2) Then use that circle and its radius to create a congruent segment.

Procedures: Midpoints & Bisectors

1) To create a midpoint or perpendicular bisector, create a circle with a radius equal to the given segment.
2) Then create adjacent circle overlapping at the given radius.
3) Then create a line through the intersections of the circle it will pass through the midpoint, and from that midpoint a perpendicular bisector can be created.
