What are the best practices for putting together a CER?

Essential Question:

Today we will learn how to assemble a great CER.

C - Stands for CLAIM, this is your answer to the question.

E - Stands for EVIDENCE, this is your proof and your quote to prove your evidence.

R - Stands for REASON, this is your explanation of your answer!

Here is an example of a CER!

Answer: The narrator in High Beams was not initially scared of the car behind her. According to the text, she mentions "I guess we're going the same direction." This quote shows that she is not alarmed and simply thinks it's a funny coincidence.
