Simple Present Tense

  • Simple Present Tense is a verb tense with two main uses.

  • We use simple present tense when an action is happening right now or when it happens regularly.

Permanent situation

Emily visits her grandmother every Sunday.

General truth

The sun rises in the east.

Habitual action

He wakes up at 7 am every morning.

Future meaning
