い (i) Adjective

In Japanese, adjectives are used to describe nouns, just like in English. There are two main types of adjectives:
い (i) adjectives and な (na) adjectives. In Japanese, you can identify い (i) adjectives by their ending with the syllable い (i), like やさしい (yasashii: kind) or おもしろい (omoshiroi - interesting/fun). Here, we'll focus on い (i) adjectives.

Negative Form Conjugation
To make an い (i) adjective negative, drop the い (i) at the end and addくない (kunai).

Example :

やさしい (yasashii) : Kind
やさし (yasashii) → やさし (Yasashi) + くない (kunai) →
やさしくない (yasashikunai) : Not kind
