How are object pronouns used?

- Object pronouns are personal pronouns used as direct objects, as indirect objects, or as the objects of prepositions

tells to whom or what an action is performed.

Example: The server had the soup, and Oliver gave her his empty bowl.

indirect object

-receives the action of a verb and answers the question whom or what.

Example:
The chefs made soup, and Oliver Twist thanked them.

• The pronoun follows a preposition as to, from, for, against, by, between, or about.

• Remember prepositions are a word or group of words used before a noun, or pronoun to show direction, time, place, and location.
