Things to remember:

All enzyme-catalyzed reactions occur under specific environmental conditions such as different temperatures or pH levels that affect how fast the enzymes work. How fast an enzyme works, or its rate of reaction, can be measured by how quickly the product is produced. The conditions under which an enzyme normally works are called optimum conditions.
