Early in the evening, a homeowner in an American
town fills the backyard bird feeder with sunflower
seeds. Not long afterward, a black bear emerges from
a wooded area and walks across the lawn. The
family watches in surprise from the living room
window. The bear knocks down the bird feeder with
one sweep of its paw. It sits and gobbles up the
seeds. Then it slowly walks away, back into the trees.
