Writing: Revising Your Narrative Writing Project

Learners can:

• revise their narrative writing project for narrative elements

• revise their narrative writing project for organization

You completed the following steps throughout this unit as part of the narrative writing process:

1. You studied the project details and examples.

2. You planned and created a story map.

3. You composed a quick draft.

4. You planned the pacing.

5. You added details to your exposition.

6. You incorporated imagery in the rising action.

7. You utilized dialogue in the climax, falling action, and resolution.

Revising Narrative Projects

• As you go through the revising and editing stage, take a few minutes to read your project aloud

• As you are reading, mark down any areas that you need to improve

• After, go back and revise those notes areas

• Then, check the self checklists on pages 7 and 8 of your edio lesson
