The 5W's help you select the main details from any type of text. Think about what you read and ask yourself:
What is happening?
Who is involved?
Where is it happening?
When is it happening?
Why is it happening?
Keep this in mind as we watch the video on page 4 in the edio lesson
Summary Example

Summaries are frequently short and to the point.
You include not only the most important events but also some of the events that lead up to the main details.
Effective summaries have elements in common.
