Sequence of Events

Plot elements are the sequence, or order, of events that make up the beginning, middle, and end of a piece of fiction. They include a problem, or conflict, story events, and a resolution to the conflict, when the problem may be solved or resolved in some way. Often the plot is influenced by the setting of the story, or where and when the story takes place.
