  • Verbal - saying the opposite of what you mean (What a beautiful day!)

  • Situational - something happening that's the opposite of what you expect (fire station burning down)

  • Dramatic - when the readers knows more than the character in the story (Simba believes he is responsible for the death of Mufasa, but we know otherwise)
