Fun Fact, by Caleb

There is a huge bear that lives in Banff National Park. His name is The Boss and he was hit by a train two times and survived.
Weighing in at somewhere between 650 and 700 pounds. The bear's resumé of dominance is legendary. He is considered to have a home range more than 2,500 square kilometres. He's eaten
a black bear. Even though he's been struck by a train, he still uses the railways for travel and foraging.

Levels of Organization
  • population: group of the same kind of organism

  • community: all of the living things in an area

  • ecosystem: includes the local community plus all of the nonliving elements in the environment. An ecosystem contains both biotic and abiotic factors.

  • biosphere: all parts of Earth where organisms live

Aquaponics is a method of farming indoors in a controlled environment. There are many ways to set up aquaponics, but all aquaponic systems contain:

  • an animal that produces waste, usually fish; and

  • plants to grow as crops.
