interest?

SI (Previous
knowledge)

Pupil

I=Pnr /100

Teacher

What denotes P, n and r?

SPQ(To increase
the awareness)

Pupil

P= Principal, n= time, r = rate of interest

Teacher

Components

Pupil

We will calculate interest for the first year
using the formula = Pnr / 100
=5000x 1x 10 /100
=Rs. 500

Teacher

In compound interest, Second year Principal
= Principal + Interest of first year

= 5000 + 500 = Rs. 5500

Next calculate the Second year interest

SE (Stimulating
questions)

Pupil
I = 5500 x 1 x 10 / 100
= Rs. 550

Teacher

What is the total interest for two years?
What is the amount he will get at the end of
second year?

SE (Stimulating
questions)

Pupil
Total interest = Rs. 500 +550 = Rs. 1050
Total amount = Rs. 5000 + 1050 = Rs. 6050
