• One of the most successful times in exploration is known as the Age of Exploration, which lasted from the 1400s to the 1600s.

• Many famous explorers lived during this time. Their expeditions,or journeys, were long and dangerous.

• The reasons explorers set out to make discoveries have changed overtime. Some wanted to gain wealth by finding and trading items.

• Others wanted to own new land.

• This led to the American Revolution which lasted from 1775 to 1783.
