QUANTIFIERS

Some - Any

Some – We use "some" with plural countable nouns and uncountable nouns, usually in positive sentences.

• Examples:

  • "I have some friends in France."

  • "There is some water in the bottle."

    Can be used in questions for polite requests or offers

  • Would you like some juice?/ Can I have some juice?

Any – We use "any" with plural countable nouns and uncountable nouns, usually in negative sentences and questions.

• Examples:

  • "I don’t have any money."

  • "Do you have any questions?"
