The key to developing a strong, persuasive argument is careful planning.
Steps for success:
1.
Decide on your main argument, the overall claim you are making.
2.
Think of supporting arguments which help prove this main claim. Aim
for at least two.
3.
For each of the sub-claims, find evidence and reasons to back them up.
4.
You may also think of possible counterclaims, and how to address them.
GOAL:
To write arguments to
support claims with
clear reason and
relevant evidence.
