A keylogger is an insidious ( crafty, treacherous ) form of ​ (a)   . It's also a ​ (b)   and sometimes ethical tool to monitor the activity of employees and even your ​ (c)   as they interact online.

Keyloggers give hackers access to your personal ​ (a)   , such as account passwords, when used for nefarious ( wicked, criminal ) purposes. When used for good reasons, they can identify poor ​ (b)   within a company and prevent kids from communicating with ​ (c)   .

A ​ (a)   , short for "keystroke logger," is a software or hardware device that captures and records the ​ (b)   on a computer or other input devices, such as keyboards.
