The Burj Khalifa and Its Incredible Height
The Burj Khalifa is the tallest building in the world, standing at 828 meters. It is located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Construction began in 2004 and was completed in 2010. It took 6 years to build this amazing skyscraper.
The building has 163 floors, with a mix of hotels, offices, apartments, and observation decks. The 124th and 148th floors have special viewing areas where visitors can see the whole city from above.
Imagine dividing the height of the Burj Khalifa into fractions:
The first one-fourth (¼) of the building is 207 meters high.
The halfway mark (½) is 414 meters high.
Three-fourths (¾) of the way up reaches 621 meters.
The top is at 828 meters!
