Women's Role in WWII

During World War II, women played a crucial role in supporting the war effort, both at home and abroad. As millions of men left to serve in the military, women stepped into jobs traditionally held by men, working in factories, shipyards, and other industries to produce weapons, aircraft, and supplies. This movement was symbolized by Rosie the Riveter, representing strong, capable women in the workforce.

Highlighting Women’s Strength & Patriotism
Promoting Women’s Roles in the Military (WAC, WAVES, WASPs, etc.)
Supporting the War Effort from Home (Victory Gardens, Rationing, etc.)
