Possible answers

  1. IMPORTANCE OF EARTH's ATMOSPHERE

Not only does it contain the oxygen we need to live, but it also protects us from harmful ultraviolet solar radiation. It creates the pressure without which liquid water couldn’t exist on our planet’s surface. And it warms our planet and keeps temperatures habitable for our living Earth.

2. RELATE THE MOVEMENTS OF THE EARTH TO THE DAY-NIGHT CYCLE AND THE SEASONS

Earth rotates once on its axis about every 24 hours. To an observer cooling down on the North Pole, the rotation appears counterclockwise. From nearly all points on Earth, the Sun appears to move across the sky from east to west each day. Of course, the Sun is not moving from east to west at all; Earth is rotating. The Moon and stars also seem to rise in the east and set in the west.

Earth’s rotation means that there is a cycle of daylight and darkness approximately every 24 hours, the length of a day. Different places experience sunset and sunrise at different times and the amount of time a location is in daylight and darkness also differs by location.

The seasons are caused by the 23.5° tilt of Earth’s axis of rotation relative to its plane of orbit around the Sun At summer solstice, June 21 or 22, Earth’s axis points toward the Sun and so the Sun is directly overhead at its furthest north point of the year, the Tropic of Cancer (23.5° N).The Earth’s tilt on its axis leads to one hemisphere facing the Sun more than the other hemisphere and gives rise to seasons.

3. IMPORTANCE OF MOON

The brightest and largest object in our night sky, the Moon makes Earth a more livable planet by moderating our home planet's wobble on its axis, leading to a relatively stable climate. It also causes tides, creating a rhythm that has guided humans for thousands of years.

4. IMPORTANCE OF CONSTELLATIONS IN OUR LIVES

Constellations are useful because they help stargazers and astronomers recognise specific stars in the night sky. Today, constellations are less important than they were in Ancient History. In Ancient times, constellations were used to create and track the calendar so they knew when to plant crops and harvest them. Constellations were also used for navigation and to help sailors travel across oceans. Once you find Ursa Major, you can easily spot the Northern Star (Polaris) and by using the height of the Northern Star, you could figure out your latitude.
