Learning Objectives

By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:

• Define the concept and knowledge about SID
• present a placeholder;
• add buttons and add an image carousel and its associated features to the

web page.

• Create a Poster about Safer Internet Day

Safer Internet Day is an annual event which is organised by Safer Internet Centre and is celebrated in
approximately 170 countries worldwide!
It is observed globally on the second Tuesday of February each year.

What Is Safer Internet Day?

The aim of the day is to raise awareness of Internet safety, promoting
positive and responsible usage.

This year, Safer Internet Day is on Tuesday 11thFebruary.

The theme for 2025 is…

Adding Maps

1.

Add a new page to the website with the
name Types of Climate. Add a suitable
image also.

Add a suitable layout from the Insert
menu.

Add the name of three climate types for each
part as shown below.

Embed the map of any one region for each climate type
by clicking on the icon. For example, let’s add Australia
for the Mediterranean type.

To find the region, type its name in the box and press the Enter key. Then
click on the Select button.

Add maps of places for all climate types in the same way.

Adding text box

Let’s start creating the fourth web page for the Climate on Earth website
with the name Climatic Adaptations.

1. Create a new page named Climatic Adaptations.

2. Insert a Text box from the Insert menu.

Add the following definition of climatic adaptation in the text
box. Change the color and size of the text.

Link the button to the home page by selecting Home in the window that lists the name of all web pages of
your website. Then, click on the Insert button. By clicking on the Home button now, the viewer can directly
navigate to the home page.

Click on the arrow in the Edit bar for the button.

To add a Placeholder, click on the Insert menu and select
Placeholder.

Change the map for the Desert type of climate to show a desert found in
your country.

Create a two-page website on the topic My School. Include the school
information, like the year of establishment and motto, on the first page and
contact information on the second page. Try to change the theme to
Aristotle. Change the theme font style to BOLD and change the theme color
by choosing the color code #12890f.

descriptions to it. Crop the images and adjust them so that they fit in the
