Bills

31

media

The bill tells us:
How many units we have used
and

How much each of the units cost.

To work this out we need to multiply the number of units by the cost
Basic rate = 236 x 0.14 = 33.04
Cheap rate = 385 x 0.11 = 42.35

Next we need to add these together to find the total amount
33.04 + 42.35 = £75.39
Don't forget to include the monthly charge of £12.70 (£75.39 + £12.70)
TOTAL amount to pay is £88.09

32

media

Notice:
Her bill also include free texts and minutes - we need to allow for these

Calls = 145 - 90 = 55 mins (to be billed) 55 x 0.11 = £6.05
Text = 623 - 400 = 223 text (to be billed) 223 x 0.05 = £11.15
Add them together - 6.05 + 11.15 = £17.20
Don't forget the monthly charge - 18.75 + 17.20 = 35.95

Mobile phone cost = £35.95
