Unemployment in Today's Economy
Alright class, let's play a quick game of "Job Swap!"
Imagine our classroom is the entire country. I'm going to give a
few of you different job titles that are common in our town.
(Examples: cashier, construction worker, teacher, restaurant
server).
Now, imagine a big storm hits (Like the Covid-19), or a new
robot comes in and does some jobs faster.
How might some of you lose your jobs? Use facts to explain
your answer.
Let's discuss for a few minutes. Why do some people lose their
jobs while others find new opportunities?
