Energy Conversion
Energy cannot be created or destroyed. It can only be converted from one form into another. This is known as energy conversion.
4
Some of the chemical potential energy in the food we eat is converted into heat energy and kinetic energy. The heat energy keeps us warm, kinetic energy allows us to play and exercise.
5
Energy Conversion
The transformation of one form of energy into another form.
Examples:
(a) The chemical energy in the battery is converted into electrical energy in the electrical circuit.
(b)The girl converts gravitational potential energy into kinetic energy when she is sliding down.
