How to find the median

First, order the data set from least to greatest. To find the median, find the middle number. If there is no middle number, find the two middle numbers and then add them together and divide them by 2.

How to find quartile 1 and quartile 3

Find the median between the lowest number and the median of the entire range. That is called quartile 1 (Q1). To find quartile 3, find the median between the highest number and the median of the entire range. That is called quartile 3 (Q3)

Subtract the first quartile from the third quartile to get the interquartile range.
