It is a piece of document that gives us information about a topic. It can appear in a newspaper or in a magazine.
It is a document in which we can criticize the film we saw in the cinema last week.
It is similar to a story: we can invent information and describe fictional events.
It is a letter that we write to a friend asking him/her advice or inviting him/her to a party.

Usually, an article has 5 different parts and depending on the audience it is written in a formal or informal style (you can use contractions!). Let's have a look at them:
Title: It must be catchy to engage and motivate your readers!
Introduction: Presentation the topic with the help of rhetoric questions.
Body: Explanation of the main information by answering the questions that have been proposed.
Recommendation: Suggest the audience to do something, always justifying it.
Ending: Summary of the main points and ask your audience about their opinions.
