Addition of Monomials

• Like monomials- are monomials with the same literal coefficients    Ex.1.  2x + 3x = 5x      Ex.2.   -2x + - 3x = -5x     Ex.3. 2x + -3x = -x

• Unlike monomials are monomials with different literal coefficients

  Ex.1. 2x + 3y = 2x + 3y
