Add them together:

Balanced Chemical Equations

  • Balanced chemical equations are a "recipe" for a reaction.

  • 4 Fe + 3 O2 → 2 Fe2O3

  • Coefficients give you mole ratios

  • i.e. 4 moles of Iron react with 3 moles of Oxygen Gas and produce 2 moles of Iron (III) Oxide.
