Who am I?

What will you learn this semester?

• The science behind crime scene investigations

• Types of evidence: fingerprints, DNA, hair, and more

• Famous cases and how they were solved

• Skills like observation, critical thinking, and analysis

• How to conduct investigations and interpret results

How will the semester run?

Each week focusses on a different type of forensic evidence. We will complete hands-on activities and experiments to practice the real techniques and look at case studies to see how the evidence solved real-life cases.

Assessment: quizzes throughout the term, one test and a final project.

How do I do things?

• Each week we will focus on a different action that can earn you a stripe. These may include: arriving to class on time, charging your chromebook, controlling class volume, tidying the classroom etc.

• Nothing is worse than having 30 kids ask me what we are doing at the start of every lesson. Wait patiently and I will tell the whole class together.

How do I do things?

• Don’t automatically open your chromebook and play games as soon as you sit down. We might not need them yet and it wastes your battery.

• You are responsible for coming to class prepared. That means bringing your own equipment/books and a charged chromebook. I have a loan sheet for both but repeated use will result in an email home.
