Fossil process!
Fossil-Bearing sedimentery rocks (rocks formed from sediments such as sand, silt, or mud) are found all over the world. The present rates at which sediments are layed down and turned into rock are very slow. It would take millions of years to form the rock layers that we see today. Scientists are attempt to find out the ages of rocks by a process called dating. And no its not your typical dating!

Wait... how many years!
It is belived that carbon -14 dating can be used to date fossils only up to 100,000 years old! That's a LOT of years!
